- The lawsuit was filed as a class action in Los Angeles Superior Court on behalf of all hourly employees of Antelope Valley Newspapers, Inc.,
- The lawsuit seeks compensation for each day an employee did not receive a full 30-minute, uninterrupted meal period within the first 5 hours of the work shift or a second 30-minute uninterrupted meal period for shifts in excess of 10 hours.
- The lawsuit also seeks compensation for each day an employee did not receive state mandated rest breaks of 10 minutes during shifts of 4 hours or longer.
